Trinity Heights to host Marian apparitions series

Trinity Heights Queen of Peace, Sioux City, is sponsoring a summer series on Marian apparitions, focusing on the shrines found at Trinity Heights.

The series begins July 30 and continues for six consecutive weeks ending on Sept. 3. Each evening, the rosary is prayed at the foot of Mary’s statue at 7 p.m. The summer series of talks begin immediately after the rosary. Presentations will be held at the Marian Center.

The schedule includes:
– July 30, Mariology by Msgr. Charles Mangan
– Aug. 6, Our Lady of Guadalupe by Father Anthony Espinosa
– Aug. 13, Our Lady of Lourdes by Sean Martin
– Aug. 20, Our Lady of Fatima by Msgr. Mangan
– Aug. 27, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal and Our Lady of Knock by Mary Kay Daniels, Father Roger Linnan and Anne O’Mara
– Sept. 3, Other apparitions, associated devotions, the rosary and Mary in the church today by Msgr. Mangan

Msgr. Mangan is director of the Office of the Marian Apostolate in the Diocese of Sioux Falls. Father Espinosa, formerly assigned to South Sioux City St. Michael Church, now serves as pastor of St. Leonard Parish in Madison, Neb. Father Roger Linnan is a retired priest of the Sioux City diocese. Sean Martin is the director of New Evangelization, Catechesis and Family Life for the Sioux City diocese. Anne O’Mara and Mary Kay Daniels are lay women of the Sioux City diocese with a love for Mary.
